Cross country: Review for 2003/04
Cross country continues to thrive at Derwent Lodge, and places on school teams are fiercely guarded in a age ranges. This year, the girls continued to enjoy the sport and to bring home medals and trophies. We entered A and B teams in the West Kent Cross Country League and by the end of the season (which consisted of five matches), had won the U9 and U11 girls' events overall, the girls' combined age event, and, with Yardley Court, took home the combined trophy. Excellent performances from Megan, Camilla-Rose and Francesca were complemented by Hattie, Amy Sommerville and Nicola. Derwent Lodge also won the Woodmansee Shield, was a joint winner of the Hazelwood Relays, and was the highest placed girls' school in the Bracken Cup. Another super season! Well done to all the girls!
