Deputy Head Mrs Jean Caygill

Jean was educated at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, Darlington, and obtained her teaching qualification at Manchester. She initially pursued a career in secondary education specializing in Special Educational Needs and following a short maternity break Jean then established an independent nursery based in Bedfordshire.
Jean moved to Kent 1992 and took up a primary post in Biddenden. During this time she studied at Christchurch and soon after became the Key Stage One Manager at Capel School. She has enjoyed the past 5 years at Somerhill Pre-Prep as Head of Early Years and was delighted to be appointed to the position of Deputy Head. Jean is a keen gardener, enjoys the theatre and is a mean seamstress!
