Deputy Head Teacher Hilary Humphry-Baker BSc Hons (Exeter), PGCE (Brighton)

Hilary graduated from Exeter University with a degree in Biology and Geography. She completed her PGCE at Brighton once her two children had begun full time school. She has always taught in the independent sector, working 13 years at Vinehall School before joining Derwent Lodge as Deputy Head in 2004.

She co-ordinated Geography during her first two years and has led Science since 2006. She established our link with Nepal shortly after arriving and visited the Peace Home in 2008. Hilary has been a Governor of Feltonfleet Prep in Cobham since 2004, where she chairs the Academic Committee.
