Deputy Head Teacher Hilary Humphry-Baker BSc Hons (Exeter), PGCE (Brighton)

Mrs. Humphry-Baker graduated  from Exeter University in Biology and Geography. She completed her PGCE at Brighton once her two children had begun full time school. She joined Vinehall School in 1991 where she became Co-ordinator of Junior Science and went on to initiate many new projects.

She joined Derwent Lodge in 2004 as Deputy Head. She co-ordinated Geography during her first two years and in 2006 took over the co-ordination of the Science Department. She is also a Governor of Feltonfleet Prep in Cobham, where she chairs the Academic Committee. One of her children is now teaching at Bennett Memorial School and the other is studying for his PhD at MIT, USA.
