Rosehill Rounders Festival
The U11 Rounders team displayed a high level of ability with the bat and in their fielding when they played at the Rosehill festival after the summer fair. They easily won their section beating St Ronans 8.5 - 2.5, Beechwood 8.5 - 2.5 and Rosehill B's 7 - 2.5. In an exciting semi-final DL narrowly lost to Rosehill A by 8.5 - 7.5 with Laura Beaman batting particularly well in that match as the last surviving batter! Rosehill went on to beat St Michaels by half a rounder in the final whilst DL had a very easy win over Marlborough House (13 - 3) to clinch 3rd place out of 14 teams. It was a brilliant afternoon of rounders and despite the final outcome, everyone came away satisfied that they had played well and given it their best shot.
