Drama, Art and Music

Each year group at Somerhill Pre-Prep performs a Christmas play. Nursery holds one performance but every other year group performs two. One is for families and the other is “for adults only”!  This is so that parents and grandparents can watch this performance in peace!

Every Reception, Year One and Year Two class perform a class assembly and all their parents are invited in to watch.

We hold an annual Poetry Competition where Year One and Year Two pupils recite a poem of their choice. The Grand Final is judged by teachers from Yardley Court and Derwent Lodge.

At the end of the summer term our Year Two pupils perform a Leavers’ Concert for their parents to mark their transition to Yardley Court and Derwent Lodge.
