Geography at Derwent Lodge
Our aim in teaching Geography at Derwent Lodge is to make the subject as practical as possible thus enabling the children to develop their skills fully in a stimulating and enjoyable way.
Children will have the opportunity to go on a variety of field trips during their time here which enriches their learning experience, not to mention the use of the vast grounds we have on site.
Class based lessons will involve using a range of stimuli including online maps and activities, recently acquired topic books and other visual aids. There are many cross curricular links to Science, ICT, Mathematics and History within the syllabus.
We hope that this range of learning opportunities will help the children to understand and enjoy this subject!
