Greek at Yardley Court

Greek is studied Years 7 and 8 by those who might be entered for scholarship, with the aim of introducing the pupils to the language and to some aspects of a civilisation which deeply influenced the Romans and indeed western culture.
 
Depending on the intended senior school, many pupils take a Greek option in their scholarship examination and some continue to study Greek at least to GCSE at their senior school and sometimes beyond.
 
A few past pupils go on to study classical subjects at Oxford, Cambridge and other leading universities
