Swimming: Review for 2002/03

Derwent Lodge entered three teams for the ISA London South Regiona Gala held at Trinity School Croydon. All the girls gave 100% effort and most were rewarded with very good results. The Under 9s won the breaststroke with Katie Hoskin, and she was duly selected to represent the London South region in the National Finals in Coventry, where she achieved a Bronze Medal. The Under 9s also easily won the freestyle relay by half a length, and went on to win their age group. The Under 10s came third in their age group and the U11s came fourth. When all results were added together, Derwent Lodge came third  overall.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, and, as well as Katie, special mention must be made to Camilla-Rose and Olivia who both came a close second in their races and narrowly missed qualifyng for the Nationals by less than 1.5 seconds!
