Tennis: Review for 2005/06
Derwent Lodge has had a fantastic season in tennis, and the very talented Year Three girls won the Kent round of the British Schools Tennis championship. The team consisted of Mia Smith, Hannah Kinsey, Charis Heim and Sydnie Hodgkins. We then entered three U8 pairs in the Kent Doubles 'Red' Championships where Mia Smith and Hannah Kinsey, and Eliza macLachlan and Annie Cassidy finished equal 3rd out of 23 pairs.
Louisa Bryant and Nia Lewis won the Kent Doubles 'Orange' Championships, and together with Imogen Goring and Mary Ellis finished 5th in the British Schools Tennis Championships.
Nicola Wilkinson and Daina Clifford were runners-up in the Kent Doubles 'Junior' Championships and, together with Sophie Capewell and Olivia Harbig, were 3rd in the British Schools Tennis Championship.
Our B teams at every level have also enjoyed playing competitively at the tournaments, and should be congratulated on their efforts.
Full Colours: L Bryant, S Capewell, D Clifford, O Harbig, N Lewis, N Wilkinson
