Derwent Lodge Tennis

Tennis is on the curriculum from Christmas onwards, where the girls improve their stroke technique playing against the vast walled areas in our multi-purpose hall. As soon as the weather is dry enough, lessons continue outside. Once again, our girls achieved great things at County level in 2010. Sarah Mercer and Jasmine Poole won the Kent primary schools doubles event and Alisha Gupta and Sophie Gull were runners-up in the Green event. In the team competitions, our Orange team finished equal 3rd, and our Green team was 3rd in the County. Emma Wasworth and Lizzie Holder were also 3rd in the County IAPS doubles tournament.
