Yardley Court Cricket

The cricket season is now in full flow although thermals are still required! It has been a difficult start for the senior teams with the late return from Bermuda of nearly half the boys hindering the amount of practice time. There have been some good results though with the 2nd and 3rd XI beating Ashdown House and the 4th XI notching up a fine win against Junior Kings Canterbury. The 1st XI have lost a couple of close matches and drwan with Marlborough House. The U11 sides have made their customary strong start to the season. The A team beat Dulwich Prep to go through to the next round of the Summers Cup David Wilkinson in fine batting form. They also beat Asdown House in a thrilling encounter Henry Brewer hitting a 6 to win off the last ball of the match. The U10 A team recorded their 1st win of the season against New Beacon with some steady batting led by Sam Mercer and an all round excellent bowling display. The junior matches are just about to get going this week. Well done to all the boys.
