Yardley Court is situated in 150 acres of glorious parkland and has excellent facilities enabling at least 20 different activities and clubs to take place during the year (take a look at our sports photo galleries). We compete in the local prep school circuit in all the major sports but concentrating on football, rugby and cricket. We love our sport here at Yardley - so much so that we competed in over 300 competitive fixtures in 2006/7.
Games and PE enjoy a high profile and all staff in the department are enthusiastic and well qualified. They strive to ensure that all boys benefit not just in a physical way, but also by helping to nurture their personalities and characters. We haven’t forgotten that enjoyment is a key factor too! We run as many teams as possible across the wide variety of sports so as to offer all boys the opportunity to represent their school, whilst also promoting excellence for county, regional or even national honours.
Sport has long been strength of our school and we are constantly looking to improve the quality of teaching, learning and the whole sporting experience. With the London Olympics in 2012, what better incentive for all our boys to discover their abilities and make choices about involvement in lifelong physical activity.
